Sony Opens Enrollment For ID Protection Program

Sony has announced via their blog that they have begun enrollment for the AllClear ID PLUS identity theft protection. As part of the Welcome Back program, any US based PSN customer who had an account prior to April 20th will be able to enrol by entering the email address associated with their PSN account into this page, after which time a code will show up within 72 hours.

Terms of the deal are unclear as of this time, as Gaming Bus has not received their confirmation email. We will update if we learn any relevant information.

Analysis: There’s not really too much to say about this. I’ll be reading the terms of service on Debix’s part when I’m able to fully sign up for the program, but outside of an autobill, I don’t see too much happening here that is noteworthy outside of Sony trying to make right by their customers in a way more relevant than simply crapping out a few old PS3 games.
