Yesterday, Indie Royale released their latest collection of games, the Really Big Bundle. The indie games included in this bundle are Really Big Sky, Runespell: Overture, Cthulhu Saves the World, Eufloria, and bonus title Breath of Death VII.
The price scheme is still the same, where you have to pay a preset minimum amount which goes up slowly with each purchase. The catch to bring it down is to go above and beyond the asking minimum, which lowers the minimum for every buyer after that. The Indie Royale pay model means the best price will be at the start. Purchasers should expect it to go higher down the road and jump on it quickly for the best prices.
There have been a little over 24,000 bundles sold, which brings the minimum up to $4.15 at the time of press. If you are looking for the best deal, now is a good time grab this bundle. All these games individually come out to about $41, not including any sales.
Analysis: This is yet another good deal from this crew. I’m still not a huge fan of this price scheme, but it’s reasonable and fair for everyone. I also like the mixture of games this time around; you have RPGs, a card game, a side-scroller, shooters, and planet growth game.
Indie game bundles are obviously doing great things for these indie developers. I have not heard of most of these games, but Eufloria intrigues me, just like World of Goo did, and I enjoy that game even today. For anyone wanting to experiment with different game ideas, this is a good place to start. I plan to take a crack at these games from this bundle soon.
