Gaming Bus Live Stream, Vol. :( : Deadly Towers (NES) (CANCELLED)

Welcome to another edition of the Gaming Bus Live Stream. Last week, I played the criminally underrated Zelda II: The Adventures of Link. As I predicted, the game has stood up well, even if it’s Not Zelda™.

This week, we do a complete 180 and play a complete turd: Deadly Towers, a game only really enjoyed by contributor Samuraiter. As one of the first action RPGs to come to America, the game achieved success, though if I were to write a Then and Now on this today, chances are good it’d have the largest drop ever, as it’d surely be an F today. It’s been a long time since I’ve played DT, but I remember cheap deaths and a completely inaccesible dungeon. GameFAQs and save states are all on the table tonight. It’s weird, because the publisher involved (Broderbund) was very good at making good games that also happened to push the envelope.

Come by tonight at 9:30PM 8:30PM EST!

EDIT: Due to circumstances, this stream has been cancelled. Apologies for the inconvenience, but on the other hand, it’s only Deadly Towers.
