Atelier Meruru Shipping Date Pushed Back One Week

NIS America announced in an email that Atelier Meruru‘s shipping date has been delayed for a week. It was originally slated to come out this coming Monday, the 22nd, but now it will ship on the following Monday, the 27th. The publisher cited a manufacturing error as the reason for the delay. This only applies to North America; the European shipping date remains the same, May 24.

Atelier Meruru is the last game in the Arland trilogy, which started with Atelier Rorona. It’s a direct sequel to Atelier Totori and features characters from the prior two games.

Analysis: While delays are always disappointing to hear, especially for a game one has been looking forward to, waiting another week won’t harm anything. One way to think about this is that it gives you a chance to tackle any backlog you have and complete anything you haven’t in the prior two games. After it ships, you’ll have all the time in the world (well, as much as life permits) to play this game.
