The RETURN OF THE LIVESTREAM SCHEDULE

Okay, seriously, if anyone didn’t figure out that July 13 wasn’t going to be the return of the livestreams after all those hints, I don’t know what to tell you.

So we’re back! Simply put, I got burned out. I wasn’t funny anymore, I was getting worn down, and I was going through some hell in my personal life that was wearing on me. All of those things have largely been addressed, so I can concentrate on being funny again. Or at least on bunnies, Klondike bars, and being called a furry.

So here’s our schedule for the rest of July:

FRIDAY, JULY 13TH: Potpourri Night!
FRIDAY, JULY 20TH: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GameCube)
FRIDAY, JULY 27TH: GAME NIGHT! Monopoly (System TBD)

In addition, I’ve changed the game for RPG Night. We’re dropping Xenoblade Chronicles and picking up a big one. From now on, RPG Chats will be dedicated to Mass Effect for the 360.

I look forward to having everyone back! This will be a great time as I picked our most popular games for our regulars.

Xenoblade not scratching the itch, eh?

  Xenoblade is great. Two issues forced me to reconsider:
  
  1) It’s too new, and people want to actually play it on their own. Much like how I didn’t join Mark B’s stream of Catherine because I wanted to avoid spoilers, I didn’t want to be playing to an empty house.
  
  2) Xenoblade Chronicles is *EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMELY* reliant on side-quests. That’s great if I’m playing alone, but it makes for very boring streams. I can’t spend half my time faffing about and doing “Collect X item” quests.
  
  Mass Effect has the benefit of being immensely popular, and also highly non-linear from a story perspective, whereas Xenoblade is a more “classic” RPG of getting from Story Dot A to Story Dot B. It works brilliantly.

  Read back on this, and I have to say:
  
  I regret nothing going from Xenoblade to Mass Effect. The latter is a world of fun, and I couldn’t put it down. The former is a chore too often.
